Read the updates about the flood recovery of the Linden Library.  It has now been a little over 30 days ago the flood was discovered and the contents of the library had to be moved lock, stock and barrel out of the building we love to call our local library.  Read more about the efforts that are going into rebuilding the Linden Library.

Christine Buckingham, our intrepid President of the Friends, just left the library with the deposit of the proceeds from Saturday's Book and Bake Sale. Our final total was $701.25! So many of us were concerned that moving the sale to the Community Center might drastically reduce our sales. Gosh, were we wrong!

In March, 2020, Mr. Marcus Peppard III passed away after a long illness. Among the beneficiaries named in his will, Mr. Peppard included the Perry County Libraries. According to Library Director Gail Spragins, "Marcus Peppard was a frequent visitor to both libraries in the county, and he was a dedicated supporter of our fundraising efforts. We miss seeing him. It is not surprising that he thought about the libraries when he was making plans for his estate."

Plan to visit the Azbill Community Center on Saturday, Oct 3, from 10 AM to 2 PM! The Friends of the Library in Linden are holding a fund-raiser featuring used books, used DVDs, and yummy baked goods. Drop by the Community Center in Linden to take advantage of the fantastic prices and  support a great cause. The sale has been moved from the library to the Azbill Community Center to allow space for more items for sale and for social distancing.Students reading books
