The electronic card catalog is a really super tool for the local library system. However, going there the first time may be a bit confusing, so we've written up some basic instructions that may help you find your way around our library system.
- Just like the old card catalogs, you can search for books WITHOUT a login. Enter the title, or author, or key words in the search box at the top center of the page. Click on the magnifying glass symbol to the right of the search box. You can also hit the Enter key on your keyboard. If the two libraries in Perry County have any books that match your search, you will see them listed along with their location (Lobelville Branch or Perry County Public Library Main Branch in Linden).
- A login is necessary ONLY If you need to see the titles you have already checked-out or you need to know when your titles are due or if you want to renew the titles you have checked-out. Click Login in the upper right corner of the screen. A window opens in the center of the screen. Enter your library card number and the default password, which is USERPASS (as shown in the password field).
- If you don't have a library card, then you have nothing to review and you don't need to login.
- If you want to get a library card, visit the library nearest you or call the library if you need more information before you visit.
Let us know if you have any problems with using the electronic card catalog. There is an orange button in the main menu at the top of every page in our website to help you use it. And we've included that same button right here in this article:
