A library isn't just about books anymore
Today's library is not like your father's library. While you can still check out a book from the library, you can do so much more.
We have computers, book loans over the internet, movies... even our Friends of the Library who help raise funds for our operations.
Follow the news on our website to keep up to date on how we are meeting the needs of our community in this troubling time. On May 1, 2020, our libraries in Perry County are open, using Social Distancing Practices for Community Safety.
Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. offers tens of thousands of digital ebooks, audiobooks, and video. These digital titles can be downloaded or streamed to your personal computer or a variety of portable devices. And it all starts a library card from your local library!
The Perry County Library system is back open using their regular schedule:
Linden:
Tues - Wed - Thurs: 10 AM - 6 PM
Friday: 10 AM - 5 PM
Saturday: 10 AM - 2 PM
Sunday - Monday: Closed :)
Lobelville:
Mon - Fri: 10 AM - 5 PM
Saturday and Sunday: Closed :)
TEMPORILY SUSPENDED
A Lego Club has formed and is meeting monthly at the Lobelville Library. Organized as a group play activity, the children are meeting on the first Wednesday of every month at 3:30 p.m. just to have fun and make new friends who love playing with LEGOs.
Everyone is invited so come join the fun. We have a tub of LEGOs here at the library, and children can build LEGO creations which can be displayed in the library for a few weeks each month. Lobelville Library
Every child in Perry County under the age of 5 is eligible to receive free books. A new age-appropriate book is mailed to the child every month until he/she turns 5 years old. Children receive the books at NO COST to the parents. To register your children or grandchildren, contact either of the public libraries in Linden and Lobelville.
