Mr. Bond's Science Guy is a program dedicated to helping libraries in middle Tennessee bring science education to life for their patrons. The program was founded by Mr. Patrick Bond, an experienced and knowledgeable science educator with over 25 years of teaching experience both in the classroom and out in the community.
Since they began, Mr. Bond’s Science Guy has been working with libraries across middle Tennessee to provide fun and educational science-based programs for children and adults alike. Whether it’s a hands-on experiment or an interactive presentation utilizing Mr. Bond’s extensive collection of scientific specimens, every program is tailored to the needs of each library and designed to help ignite a love of learning about the world around us.
The library programs put on by Mr. Bond’s Science Guy are constantly evolving, providing something new each season that encourages exploration and experimentation within the sciences. Programs range from live animals native to middle Tennessee such as those found in reptile shows, to experiments on static electricity, demonstrations using dry ice or even making ice cream with liquid nitrogen! Each presentation is age appropriate and strives to help patrons gain knowledge through creativity and exploration while having fun doing so!
Mr Bond also prides himself on being an advocate for STEM education (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) within public libraries across Middle Tennesseee providing professional development sessions for librarians so that they can help continue teaching these important topics at their own institutions long after he leaves behind his presentations!
The children of Lobelville and Linden libraries are in for a treat this summer as the Save the Children organization is sponsoring a show at each of our library branches, one in Lobelville and one in Linden at the Community Center. Be sure to check the bulletin for the time and date of the show best for your schedule, and then call the appropriate show to make your reservation. You MUST make a reservation!
The show promises to be an exciting presentation of the laws of attraction and repulsion audience members on their feet. It's sure to be a fun time out for children living in Lobelville and Linden.
