What makes a Great Library System?

Over 40 Years Serving Perry County

Today's library is not like your father's library. While you can still check out a book from the library, you can do so much more.

We have computers, book loans over the internet, movies... even our Friends of the Library who help raise funds for our operations.

Did you get a new phone or notepad for Christmas?

Every year libraries get lots of calls from patrons who received a new device for Christmas, and want to know how to use READS on it.  This year, we've done two things to help you find help.  First, we have a new curated list titled "No Waiting".  Here's a direct link: https://reads.overdrive.com/collection/234402.  This list pulls together titles that have many multiple copies available, so you can immediately find a copy of something to download and start reading right away.

Also, the READS Facebook page has several new posts with tips and tricks to use READS, Libby, etc.:

And, remember, if you have a question about READS or Libby that you can't find an answer to, you can always contact READS support directly at rsupport.TSLA@tn.gov.

What is your library worth to you?

Do you use the library for computer services, to read magazines, borrow electronic books or audiobooks?  Never mind the old fashioned method of borrowing books from your local library.

You may say this is impossible to know, but the State of Tennessee has set up a calculator to attempt to know this number.  Visit Tennessee State Library & Archives to see this special calculator, adapted from the Maine State Library.

Welcome to the Perry County Public Library

“We would like to express our thanks for the privilege of working for the wonderful people in both Linden and Lobelville. Today we serve Perry County with books, movies, and audiobooks, and make them available online as well. Please visit your local library today."
